OK, this is just a very trivial and irrelevant question, but I was browsing through some old photos from the 60s or early 70s and a car took my eye which I just cannot identify; initially thought either a Vauxhall Viva, Morris Marina, Ford Capri, even a Jensen Interceptor or Aston DBS, but none of these (from pics I've seen on the net) match the car in question. Anyone knowledgable on the cars from the 60s/early 70s know what model it is?. Maybe something really obvious but I just can't fathom what. Sorry no other view of the car is seen.

What is the difference? I looked at several images of the Hunter and some have round headlamps. Must admit, I didn't think of the Minx.

Minx had more or less flat full width silver / chrome grills and round headlamps and I think 1500cc engines and low spec interiors , Hunters (I think) had oblong headlights. Add in Singer and Humber variations and it gets confusing .

Thanks for that, found a very close match photo and it does indeed look like a Hillman Hunter. Could be a Minx also, but quite hard to tell from some pics I've been looking at, but the Minx and Hunter both look fairly alike depending on which version you are looking at, though if a Minx it's likely the later model from 67 onwards which was named the Hillman New Minx. The distinctive vents at the side of the headlights are the ones to look for, and both models seem to have them.
