My old thing collecting some new windows for the house:

The boot had another window and all the double-glazed units in it. There was a good reason for this mission, it was the only car that had old-fashioned gutters which my roofrack would fit...
That looks fantastic.
The strange thing is, I didn't like them when they were new, but I wouldn't mind having one in the garage now.
They do look cool now, especially if they're in good condition like this. They're like a mini American car; I like the styling of US cars from this era too.
Thanks :-) Given what people thought about these when new I reckon it's a pretty good drive. It'd be interesting to see what some thoughtful suspension upgrading and 240Z-esque engine mod's would do to it - with a 2.4 straight-six and a 5-speed 'box it has the basics there. The mini-American car styling pleases me, I'd love a proper early '70s US land yacht one day.

For now it does well in taking the family to shows and occasional use for work, attending meetings etc.

I once transported a double sink top unit on the back seat of my XJS convertible (with the roof down!) but didn't think to take a photo. I just happened to have the XJS with me when I saw a suitable sink.

At a 'cider fair' near me in France the other day there was a 60-year-old Nuffield tractor (the one made by BMC to challenge the Fordson) running on the belt for a cider press. Goodness knows how it got here - my friend's family firm was an agent for them and I seem to remember they were hard enough to sell in England.

An appropriate job for an old pickup truck, a few years back:

Probably more appropriate than this use of an Austin Devon, in a different year:

And the pickup again, this time carting a pile of handy bits and pieces:

You don't happen to be or have a brother called Craig do you?
No. I have, as John Cleese would have said, an ex-brother and he wasn't called Craig.

I got a Christmas tree in my Bitter SC a few years ago, on the passenger seat sticking out of the window. No picture I'm afraid.

Totally agree - you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone eh?

This is my daily driver and usually has a roof rack fitted. It'll be pulling my iced cream trailer from next spring and touring Cornwall on a daily basis.

The ideal car for filming car. We lead a couple of Superb Stanley Steam cars through some picturesque Warwickshire countryside, filming them enroute last week.

Good photo
I don't have a picture but I did get a telling off for having four fulvia alloys in my espada (without tyres)
