Or is that C.Nile?

I suppose the '52 C-type is resting after overheating yet again!

(That pesky upstart S.Moss putting his oar in again, when he should have kept his nose out. Hey ho.)

Just that one Dinks, the replica I built 2007/9. The originals were all destroyed in 1952/3 although Penny Graham (was Woodley) owns XKC 011 which was one of the originals but has since 1953 worn a standard body. That's Nigel Webb's car you show, XKC 004, the oldest in existence by the way. I myself, of course, am older, infinitely more unique and worth about 1% of a real C-type.

There were 3, then there were none.

Lowdrag's car was a unique recreation.

And of course no one has mentioned the Lynx Eventer yet. About the best looking XJS ever - and so practical.
Absolutely!
I would love to own one, but it seems they have become rather pricey...

Excellent, were any made? And if so, am I correct in assuming they all went to Brunei?
Some googling proved my assumptions were correct...

OK, I'm depending in Lowdrag or Dinks for this but what are the cars on top of the Ecurie Ecosse transporter? Are they Costin Jags or Lister Jags or, indeed, Costin Listers? :scratrchchin:

There is a marriage of XK150 and Morris traveller out there somewhere, also a well executed MGB GT with a V12

The one in front is a Tojeiro-Jaguar: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20934/lot/8/
The car behind it is a D-type, I assume it's a Lynx car?

Oh no, that's one of the 1955/6 Ecurie Ecosse D-types that is. I would imagine that the photo was taken just after Lynx had undertaken the full restoration of the transporter in 1993. You can find the full history here:-

It was the amber indicator below the headlamp that made me think the rear car was not a D-Type.

No it isn't! Look closely and you can see part of the registration number.

The car at the back is "Lynx D-Type ‘57 SAL’". It is not a "1955/6 Ecurie Ecosse D-Type". "57 SAL" is the Lynx Replica D type which in 1987 took six National Endurance Speed Records at MIRA driven by Innes Ireland and Louise Aitken-Walker.

Back on topic - I raced in South Africa against a "Protea Jaguar". It was a bright red 1950's-looking aluminium 3.8-powered racecar. As soon as I can find the damn photo I'll post it!

In the meantime, here's a similar car:

Tentatively, given my gaffe above, I think that the car is the Foxbat XK150?
