Hmmm. not my favourite XK modification and I don't think it looks any better in the metal.
Oh well each to their own.

Some people fit the rear end of a Moggie Traveller, whilst others do the job properly. Now this is seriously nice.

I don't recall seeing that 150 before. Any more information?
The Foxbat (I love 150s and I like Travellers but did they have to have a bd child?) is well know in XK and Jaguar circles, but I really don't remember this one.

As seen at "XK60", Goodwood, August 2008.

Apparently it was converted in 1968 from a 1959 XK150, and was used for towing a race trailer. Presumably the load area was used for loading tools and spare wheels etc..

I only made it to XK60 for the Friday, when I had a track pass, but wasn't able to get back on the Saturday. So I wonder whether this car wasn't there on the Friday. I've been all the way through my photos and can't spot it. It certainly looks like a neater job than the Foxbat.

There's a slew of Jaguar based "pick-ups" and "utes" on the web, but this has to be the worst of the lot - the love child of an X-type and a Ford F150 ....

Personally I prefer this one wink

OK, so technically this is a violation for 2 reasons, 1) it's Jaguars own work & 2) it's a Daimler. But since it's based on the great saloon car in history :-)

CY88's post jogged the memory and here's a photo from 1996 at Prescott. The car is a Realm fibreglass D-type and weighs not a lot, but under the bonnet is the same XJR6 supercharged 4 litre lump. Goes like stink!

ETA I see the Daimler Corsica above and the right height looks about right, yet I've never seen it with an engine in. Did they eventually put one in or just ajust the ride height?
