CY88's post jogged the memory and here's a photo from 1996 at Prescott. The car is a Realm fibreglass D-type and weighs not a lot, but under the bonnet is the same XJR6 supercharged 4 litre lump. Goes like stink!

ETA I see the Daimler Corsica above and the right height looks about right, yet I've never seen it with an engine in. Did they eventually put one in or just ajust the ride height?

Yes, JDHT in conjunction with the JEC finished it off a few years back. As you say it was a non-runner originally, but a lot of the engineering was actually in place, and they'd made a lot of the unique bits needed, but not fitted to the car originally. I can't remember with "garage" finished the car off, but I think it was a runner when I took those pictures at the JEC Southern Day in 2007 (the one where my 150 is one the cover of the brochure biggrin ). There were a series of articles in the JEC rag covering the project to complete the Corisa, so I guess these must have been in between 2005 and 2007.

My statement referred to the execution of the conversion and it was very well done. Its a different matter if you like the conversion.

IMHO I think the lines flow well and it looks well proportioned, not so sure about the CWWheels, but overall pleasing to my eye.

You may have a different view.

they haven't even bothered with a rear quarter window just covered it in vinyl.
Shocking mess.
Not my cup of tea at all but each to their own and all that

It's a hearse. A tribute to the Harold and Maude E Type. The angle on the above pic doesn't show the rear all that clearly, try this.

What sort of coffins do they squeeze in it can be more than 4 or 5ft behind the front seat.
I am sure some will love it but its really not for me.

This was a bit different when it was built in 1981. Took the factory a few years to catch up with Lynx.

What's the moon done to deserve this fate, besides on the moon the remains would probably linger on for ever. These surely are a case to be projected into a decaying orbit into the sun where the remains would be ripped apart at the most fundamental of ways.
The only things worse than a pictures of these monstrosities is to come across one in the metal.
yuck somehow the word hideous doesn't quite go far enough hurl
