Last year a reasonable V12 Eventer was sold for £22,000 by CKL
Time is running, Dear Lowdrag, it was not last year but more than 3 years ago and the Eventer you refer to, N°39, sold for £ 25,000, not for £22,000, and it requested lots of TLC. Should it be for sale today it would fetch between £ 35,000 and £45,000 and still with TLC needed.M and P.P of JDC ran an Eventer for years, fairly sure it was V12 and sold for not a dramatic sum when they changed to either S or X Type.
My ugliness is below, genuine four seat 3.4 manual XJS, done by Glenfrolme - it is a bit sad now but being saved from transmission thieves re g/box and drive train.
Despite the body work it drives ok and is mechanically good, interior very good so a panel man is needed pdq. !!
The front is much better looking than the revised roof profile and rear quarter panel and window.
two XJS coupes were made I believe, a silver one retaining the buttress and normal profile, this one has no buttresses and the profile resembles the rear quarter/end of a convertible.

I always thought the XJS looked so much better with twin headlights as opposed to the single. Much more like traditional Jaguar design.

I always thought the same about the XJ40 and thought it odd that the cheaper models got the better looking lights.J
I agree totally with you about the XJ40. The rectangular lamps just look awful and they don't give anything like the same amount of light.

You've certainly picked the best angle, high rear end and rather wacky rear lights haven't aged very well.So many beauts
