Not sure if this belongs here or in the "left to die" topic?
What ever its a shame a lovely car looks like that.

My old Range Rover acting as shoot transport. Never put a tyre wrong and showed the modern stuff that you don't need Terrain Response to get over a muddy field!

I'd say a clean Range Rover is in dire need of being dirty.

That one is as nature intended.

There's a difference between dirty and neglected. Someone needs horse whipping for that!

Don't think so, but then you'd have to ask my friend in the photo. Personally, I think she was pushing for the Channel Tunnel new ad.

It's not really in keeping with the concept of this thread though is it? - When that picture/footage was taken, that car wasn't a classic, it was brand new.
'Classic' Safari.... ie a recent photo, last couple of years perhaps.
Yeah - because it was bone dry in '93: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq4IlMEk-_A
Nice to see at least one other person here knows what they're talking about! thumbup - It's Juha kankkunen in the Toyota Celica GT-Four on the 1993 Safari Rally! (slightly longer ago than "a couple of years perhaps" )

Claim to fame - I have sat in this car and it has been on my trailer twice.

A good friend bought it two years ago....

Looking at the footage from the '93 Safari Rally, I bet they bought a fair bit of Africa at the same time! hehe

When my friend did the deal the car was on Fre/Ita border and he went (with my trailer) to get it. The final part of the deal was to be a demo run to show that it was running ok - it had just been rebuilt and they had detuned it to run on (only) 108 octane. The dealer found some local guy he knew who could handle it to take it out on the local roads and give my mate a run round.

Turned out the balding person who rocked up was some guy called Didier...

...Auriol

Two years on he is still shaking but the did buy it - perhaps on the basis he might be given a second run if not!

Sorry guys, I didn't take a pic of my Tiger before when it was dirty which would be 'fitting' with this thread - but sure you can use your imagination smile
