At the Queens Square meeting in Bristol this morning. I love it but I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste!

I can't get over how odd it looks. They normally get higher rather than lower.

Generally, I prefer Series Landies in unmolested form. But I think the "Low-Rider/Land Rover" at Queens Square is just such a brilliant idea that it just works.
Can anyone fill us in on the car? Presumably it has 'different' running gear from that fitted by Solihull?

Hmmm. Its kinda cool. But it looks like a piece from a movie set rather than something that has picked up patina etc over time. Its a bit too "try hard" if you know what I mean?
It also looks really odd so low, my first thought was "whats the point" if I am being honest, my second thought was why not just buy a Willies Jeep.

Kinda cool but too try hard is my final opinion. I think...

I suspect there's not a lot of Land Rover underneath that.

Is that really road legal?! Looks like it doesn't even have seatbelts.

Really don't want to like that as I prefer originality. I do though.

The original car wouldn't have had seat belts either, nor would it be required to be fitted with them now.

Seatbelts are only required in post 65-registered cars, and in commercial vehicles later than that.

Seen this a few times now in the flesh and it is a fantastic machine, to see in on the move is something to behold.

Personally I love it but I can see why some wouldn't.
We get the same mixed reactions when we take this out - rather than a picture I thought you might appreciate watching it be built! - it was a good DAY!

Before anyone gets all uppity the body was given to us as it was destined for the scrap heap (the guy just wanted the running gear to built a series 1 landy) and the floor pan was lying around - a few beers later and a plan was hatched, I think you know where it goes from there - enjoy :-)

I don't like it, but I like the fact someone likes it enough to do.

To me LRs get higher & wider not lower, but I bet it's a laugh.
