Quest salvage Squad - Lola T142
Discussion
I think these are repeats of old programmes. From what I remember that Lola looked quite presentable but had had it's fair share of shunts and was bent and cracked all over. At least racing cars of that age were quite simple technology. It all got very complicated from about 1990 onwards.
This series is at least 10 years old. Knowing a bit about restoring racing cars and in particular single seaters, I did laugh when they 'just' had new uprights produced as the originals were cracked, bent and beyond use.....that would have taken over £1,000 just for the uprights! But the weird thing is, they restored the car but it's NEVER been out in historic/vintage racing since the programme was made, very strange.

What's so odd about making new uprights ? Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
