I'd delete all your 'lash up' posts if I was you BV, now you're famous...

your Dolly has been 'spotted' by no less than PHs! hehe

That looked just like my old sprint.
But mine didn't go like that one. I remember meeting a guy at the owners meeting once who built F1 engines for Hart, his Sprint went rather well, he'd managed to build a equal length 4 tuned exhaust manifold, but given the lack of space this entailed on of the pipes having to come up and over part of the head so removing the spark plugs entailed removing the manifold first.
Reckoned his hobby was eating Cossies.
These had massively restrictive exhaust manifolds due to lack of space. Several of my friends had these back in the 80s and tried all sorts of tuning. 2" SUs worked well, side draught webers made more power but less torque than the 2" SUs. One tried a turbo set up from a Saab 99 but the best mod was a TR7 exhaust manifold but you had to cut the inner wing to fit it but think it gave something like 20 bhp with no other mods.

A couple of cool dude brothers from West London have bought the Dolly. They came to see the car with their dad, a pleasant bloke who drove Dolomites in the 70s, gave it a very thorough check over, and after a bit of haggling we agreed a price and all seem happy, though I shall miss the car.
