RHD ?

Looks like a variation of a Daimler Dart/SP250...

Ok wrong, just googled the image of the Panhard, and obviously the above post is spot on....never heard of this model, I thought I knew my French classics !

I am still intrigued by the fact it's RHD, not many Panhards in RHD guise......unless the photo has been reversed ??

I was thrown by the RHD and missing DB bonnet badge. Even with LHD it's a very rare car.

PGN is certainly correct but it's also missing Panhards most distinguishing feature, drum brakes built into the wheels:

Yep I reversed the image to confuse you a bit but nobody has completely correctly identified this rare French Classic as yet wink

If it's not a DB Panhard Le Mans Luxe, is it either a René Bonnet Le Mans or a René Bonnet Missile?

A Bonnet bonnet badge. wink

That was sneaky! - I did wonder if it had been reversed because of the wiper pattern.

Well done Roy, chatting to the owner he confirmed a Rene Bonnet Missile smile

I'd say its shrouding around the cylinder barrels for cooling like a beetle.

It was 2004 when I took the picture. I have the notion that it was like the Beetle, a heating system, but probably wrong. Anyway, it belo0ngs to Monsieur Pommery, of the champagne family, but I won't let on for the moment exactly what it is - except that it has quite a racing history.

ETA Missed the correct reply above. Yes a Deutch Bonnet Le Mans was the correct answer of course.
