Biased I know, hehe but it would be the TVR every time for me. Two years after getting an S it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Just been to Cambridge and back this morning on a perfect day to have the roof down and loved it. smile

This looks fantastic for £5950:

Surely the values of these great little cars can't stay as low as that for long. confused

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

You need to know that I test drove a TR6 yesterday, 1973 car in Mimosa Yellow, and was favourably impressed, insofar as a 20 minute tootle along an A road, in a car whose clutch has a very low biting point and a throttle pedal with an inch of free play, allowed me to get used to it. It went well, sounded great, very comfortable, it felt like I could drive it all day.

Apart from the clutch/throttle issues, which should be easily fixable, my only concern was that even my MGB has a sharper response to a quick jab at the throttle than the TR6 did. Is it normal, to have a fairly soft accelerator response?
No, a quick jab of the throttle should give you a good shove in the back. If there was an inch of free play in the throttle pedal I think the whole throttle linkage needs looking at. Original throttle linkage is a weak point in the CR cars, which I think a '73 would possibly be, because of the way the throttle butterflies are connected - as they wear they don't all open at once or by the same amount.
