As the title, its been several years since I have had to have anything replated and have lost touch a bit...... tried posting the regional section without a single reply!

Can anyone recommend a good chrome plater in the North East ?

I would prefer a recommend as I dont want chrome that will last 12 months or the parts ending up with marks under the chrome all of which I have seen in the past. Its for classic car and bike parts, so triple plated show quality chrome wanted.

Not in the NE but if you want the best but not the cheapest Derby Platers are the place to go
http://derbyplating.co.uk/

I have no connection with them btw.

There are no chrome platers in the North East. There are a few zinc passivate players who are excellent but you need to head to the Midlands for decent chrome. I've used Castle Chrome before and whilst they were slow, the quality was spot on.

I'll second Derby Plating ... had some done by them recently, VERY impressive.

Do NOT use Ashford Chroming, unless you want poor quality work that takes three times longer than quoted and you have to chase them a million times, then they lose some of your order ...
