Importing a car from Malta

Hi All
Looking at importing a 1968 car into the UK from Malta. Has any one dose this? Any advice most welcome.

I know a lot of people that choose to do it from the UK to Malta.

Due to the fact that the car is on Maltese plates, it should be as simple as changing it over to UK plates.
If the car is on TFX-XXX plates that is a car that has been imported to Malta by an ex-pat and had no taxes paid.

What car are you looking at importing if you don't mind me asking?

Malta's EU, so it's just the same process to register it here as from any other EU country.

My mate who has a second home in Malta imports cars from there regularly.He books a space on a car transporter for 500euros and its simple to register with DVLA.
