That looks like a lot of fun.
I hope so. It's all in and running now. Sounds awesome! I am going to fit a Caterham exhaust on it tomorrow, hoping it will quieten it down a bit. Not sure what is louder - the exhaust or the induction roar. hehe Made a lot of changes to the car this year - 5 link rear, changed the gearbox, built and fitted this engine, polybushed everything.

I don't normally post on here but am well excited as I have just picked up my new engine that has been built for my car. Hoping to have it on the road early next year.

going into this...

That is lovely, my Mum had one in the 70's, my Dad fitted running gear from a 1600e and that went very well ( for its time ) alot of happy memories, I go to a place in Stevenage sometimes and there is always a maroon and white Anglebox there, its a daily driver.

There is a good range of parts and upgrades for them which is helpful. Quite a few of the guys that have them have gone zetec so reliable and usable.

I wouldn't fancy it as a daily but each to their own.

Very neat piece of work there. Look forward to seeing it all bolted into place. Any plans for exhaust yet? I ran a new Janspeed manifold and system at the time and thought it sounded and went great. Don't remember diameter but it was all standard off-the-shelf set up.

There is a really good forum for anglias called 105speed and the owner of the company gets/has made loads of bits for them. They do a complete stainless steel system which I think is 2.25" with a mass style manifold. I posted s picture earlier in the thread of the manifold. Got to buy the rest yet. Not the cheapest but should look and sound pretty good.

Lovely car sir....I had a Super a few years back too. It was on lotus steels, and also lowered, I was planning on a rather naughty hot xflow going in with the intention of fitting some nice milton parts on her. Yours should be loads of fun when its up and running it looks lovely mate, those wheels suit it, love the colour of the car - remind me...what is that colour ?

It's Spruce Green. Milton are great, I have their front suspension, track control arms, steering arms, reverse pedal box and strut brace. How come you got rid of yours?

Ah yes now I remember that colour....Spruce green! That's a really nice colour on the anglebox. I sold my old 123e and then the xflow engine I had...to help fund the purchase of another car. Still love the Anglias though, I would of liked to have kept mine but it did go to a very good home. Best of luck building up your car, it's looking good so far. Got anymore photos smile
