I'm not too sure what you mean.

Lady rally drivers from the 1950's
Lola is sitting far right next to Sheila Van Damm and Pat Moss

Sorry - it's a song by the Kinks (1970).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lola_(song)

One verse: "Why she walk like a woman but talk like a man"

I thought everybody knew that song!

In a word, 'yes'. I've spent hours going through Motorsport for the '50s and '60s page by page and drawn a blank; there's nothing that really suggests it's from the same 'family' as the mystery car.

Yes - me too - convinced its Italian and Aluminium in my head ... absolutely no evidence to support this ... merciful release would be appreciated .... every time it pops up I rush to read it ever hopeful of a cure ... I didn't hear back from Mr Buckler on this ...

I find this thread more frustrating than that Nazi bunker one! I spent a good couple of hours the other night going through google images and obscure automotive sites.

Slightly off topic: this film clip shows footage of Oxford Street that is roughly contemporary with the picture of the mystery car
