My Dad had a Singer 9 in the 50's I was about 5, I remember it being tiny, nothing like the length of the car in the photo.

GX6585 is 1932 Wolseley Hornet Daytona Special, with a body built by Abbey Coachworks for Eustace Watkins (the main Wolsley agent in London).

The name OTAZEL on the bonnet of the car in mgw123's photograph was the name of a WW1 Mk1 Tank: HMLS (His Majesty's Land Ship) Otazel (Hot-as-hell).

Thanks for your contributions chaps.

The rather handsome man in the picture is my late Grandfather and he owned this car for a number of years, I would love to track it down and buy it!

Perhaps my next stop should be the Wolseley owners club.
