Genuine barn find the local garage know the guy that found it and they picked it up for him.

That Jensen is hardly a 'find' as it's SORN'd! Last MOT'd in 2008.

The amount of rust on the rear arches you can put your hand from inside and touch the tyre it hasn't been driven for a fair time.

I had a Ferrari 330GT rotting at the bottom of the garden in the 90's. It was a mates donor car for a 250GTO he built which took him nearly 10 years to get to perfection then reluctantly sold as he needed the £ after a divorce.
The remains of the donor we took to a local scrappie I'll never forget pulling the wreck off a trailer and the grab driver picking it up and hammering it into the bottom of a huge skip. He got out of his cab and gave my mate £20 'there you go and what car was it I didn't recognise it'
'Ferrari'
Priceless moment.

Ouch. Not priceless now, but you'd get your storage fee back easily nowadays from 20+ years storage in an aircon unit...

There wasn't much left of use - the chassis plate had been cut off for the GTO and the roof had been cut off (!) by the previous owner to try to make it into a soft top. There were only really doors skins and body panels left plus bits of chassis.

I wonder how many of those ,then low value, coupes were sacrificed to make GTO replicas.

I think there are (or were) about 20 replicas. His was a pearler. Blue with a yellow stripe.
The donor was a wreck someone had tried to turn into a soft tip short chassis in the US and given up on.

This had been at the end of a driveway for a good amount of years. I was very lucky that it rolled after being fitted with different wheels.

I had to reverse up this narrow driveway to winch it onto the back of my truck.

The new owner didn't know exactly what it was although it appears to be a 50's fibreglass special based on BMC mechanicals.

Cheers

Found this in the back of a pub car park in rural Devon
Snap it up and enter it for the Goodowood Revival next year
Looks like one of the last ones as well on a 1963 A plate
To confirm JumboBeef's intuition, ADV...A is indeed a re-registration, issued by Devon. From 1977 to 1991 any car built between 1956 and 1963 received an 'A' plate; after this, they received age related plates that could not be transferred.

Incidentally, Devon never actually issued 'A' suffix plates - they commenced suffix registrations in July 1964 with 'B'.
