Fairly recent quick poundland spray paint on the wheels and the grass around it was not overgrown. So maybe on its way to restoration.

Managed a closer look earlier today, it is an AEC (thanks AndyM). To find it, take the turning for the Notcutts/Wheatcrofts Garden Centre. Opposite the entrance are two houses that look abandoned. The truck is in the front garden of the house on the right. If you continue along the road and reach a business park, you've gone to far.
This has gone quite recently so someone somewhere loves it.

Terrible pic but it's under a tree

It's not a Cadillac, it's a Chevrolet of some sort, possibly a Malibu or Caprice saloon from around '74.

The Y reg is possibly from when it was imported.

Okay, thanks. I was going on pics of American cars of that era, the Cadillacs did look very similar.

Does it belong to someone you know, or just a random lockup you happened upon?

I try to resurrect old cars, and I happen to be in Gateshead.... whistle

I was passing by when I saw it. Its in one of the dealers arch garages just before you get to the Tyne bridge. G Scott cars IIRC.

This may have already been mentioned, but in Hans Place, Knightsbridge, there is an abandoned Ferrari 456GT. Not been in a position to get a photo of it though.

If this was abandoned in London wouldn't it be covered in parking tickets and or towed away

I think it's in a Residents Only parking area so wouldn't get any tickets as long as the owner keeps paying the "rent" for the permit.

If it's in a public place, it should also be taxed, MOT'd and insured.

If the neighbours are anything like mine, if it's been left for more than a week and looks a bit dirty, it will already have had multiple reports to the Police for being abandoned rolleyes

Looking at the green moss/dirt that has collected perfectly around the car, I'd say it hasn't been moved for quite a while!

A quick google of: "Ferrari 456gt abandoned in Knightsbridge" reveals this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/28370466@N05/1672334...

This looks pretty abandoned to Me:

Wonders of the new electronic system for everything?

It's insured as well, so still known to someone, even if it is unloved.
