It's not a Cadillac, it's a Chevrolet of some sort, possibly a Malibu or Caprice saloon from around '74.

The Y reg is possibly from when it was imported.

Okay, thanks. I was going on pics of American cars of that era, the Cadillacs did look very similar.

I was passing by when I saw it. Its in one of the dealers arch garages just before you get to the Tyne bridge. G Scott cars IIRC.

Plate checks out as imported in '83 and tax last due in Jan '94.

This may have already been mentioned, but in Hans Place, Knightsbridge, there is an abandoned Ferrari 456GT. Not been in a position to get a photo of it though.

If this was abandoned in London wouldn't it be covered in parking tickets and or towed away

I think it's in a Residents Only parking area so wouldn't get any tickets as long as the owner keeps paying the "rent" for the permit.

If it's in a public place, it should also be taxed, MOT'd and insured.


If the neighbours are anything like mine, if it's been left for more than a week and looks a bit dirty, it will already have had multiple reports to the Police for being abandoned

Looking at the green moss/dirt that has collected perfectly around the car, I'd say it hasn't been moved for quite a while!
