Where is that ?I've always loved Ro80's, such a design classic and ambitious Engineering project. Even the styling was so far head of it's time. If I had the money I would buy one and keep it as original as possible, original engine rebuild every couple of thou !

Under this tarp a Citroen Bijou has lurked for about the last 25 years I can remember. Can't imagine what it will look like when it's unwrapped one day.
Bijous have a GRP body so it will look fine, although the chassis is probably wheatabix.Speed 3 said:

They're not that chocolatey; with modern seal materials the NSU rotary should last ~40k as long as you don't sit in traffic, do lots of very short journeys or retain the bloody awful autochoke.I've always loved Ro80's, such a design classic and ambitious Engineering project. That has to be worth rescuing. I'd consider it and take it to the Citroen specialist out near Heanor. If you're not interested, I am and I live in Nottingham.
I would imaging parts are hard to come by for it, especially if it has anything to do with the drivetrain. It's in Edwalton, btw... I will see if I can find out anymore about it.BeastieBoy73 said:
Been walking my dog round a local golf course every night in Nottingham for years and for some reason, tonight, I took a detour and stumbled across a car that must have been pretty rare, even when new...
A Citroen BX GTI 4x4.
It's only been off the road a couple of years as the MOT expired in 2014 and only has ~80k on it.... I'd certainly say it's worth saving.A Citroen BX GTI 4x4.

Some cars don't deserve saving and that Citroen is one of them.
They were crap when new and only wine fuelled eyes would see them as worth saving...
I'd have agreed in the past as I thought just because a car is rare, it doesn't always warrant the time, money and effort getting it back on the road. I go to the monthly classic car meet at The Manor Pub, Quorn (highly recommended, btw) and in amongst the expensive e-types, astons, porsches, etc is often an immaculate Nissan Micra, and a tatty Montego. Both very rare and not something I'd have thought worth saving but their owners obviously love them and to be honest, seeing some of these less exotic cars does take me back to my childhood when such cars were all over the place. It takes all sorts as they say and if your thing is old Micras, montegos or even BX's, fair enough...They were crap when new and only wine fuelled eyes would see them as worth saving...

Well that's your opinion – I happen to think it's pretty cool, certainly a lot cooler that countless Stags MGBs TRs and whatever, the usual 'classic' fodder. They were crap when new and only wine fuelled eyes would see them as worth saving...
I didn't even know they'd made a GTi 4x4.
