A little early at 1925 but one of my favourites, the Roller round door

The young lady holding the door is also beautifully constructed.

1934 Edsel Roadster. That's Edsel as in Edsel Ford, Henry's son.

1914 (!) A.L.F.A. 40/60 HP Aerodinamica Prototype - Very Steampunk

1932 Motorcar Number 9 - designed and produced by American industrial designer Bel Geddes

Art Deco Henderson motorcycle, built by O. Ray Courtney in 1936 and is based on a 1930 K.J Henderson

1936 Mercedes 540K Autobahn Kurier (W29) - 6 built

1938 Talbot Lago T150 CSS

A bit late to the 30's/40's party, but still too beautiful not to mention:

1955 Mercedes W196 Monza - Streamlined version of the open wheeled Formula 1 racer built for Reims, Silverstone and Monza

1955 Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé
Based on the W196 Formula 1 race car above (sharing chassis and engine) this weapon was used as a company car by Mercedes Motorsport Chief Rudolf Uhlenhaut. With 880 kg dry weight and a n/a 310 HP straight eight it is basically the same car as Strirling Moss' Mille Miglia winning machine. Rumors say, that Uhlenhaut averaged almost 140 MPH on business trips.

Certainly better than the next Ford to be called an Edsel!

This don't look period correct. It appears to be a modern replica of something/modern reinterpation.

If you have had your 1930s chassis bodied for racing/general sportiness then it's all well & good. I draw the line at cars whose function in life appears to be A. Annoying your millionaire neighbours & B. Annoying the plebs.

Great thread BTW - should be TOTD.

The roof-line and those pillars do not looks period. It looks more post war kit car. I believe it was built by Rod Jolley in 1990 as a modern interpretation of a Gangloff design that was never produced.

Indeed it is however the notion that Rod Jolley builds kit cars is a new one...

No, he seems to use historic chassis as the base (sadly), however the roof-line and pilar design of his hardtops are reminiscent of what you expect to see on a kit car replica and not a period car.

Chrysler did a concept car interpretation of the Bugatti Atlantique back in 1995.
Personally, I'm not a fan. Somewhat ironically I think it manages to look incredibly dated. And not in a good way.

Yes, they inadvertently put a lady part on the front of the second one. hehe
That first one is beautifully restrained and elegant.

A lot of their Art Deco cars come from the sorely missed Rosso Bianco Museum.
