Had two - first was a Black totally boggo ´79 Custom (4-speed, chocolate interior). Second was a (MIGHTY rare) Calypso green/chocolate interior ´79 custom with a 5-speed, twin 40s and 7" Minilites. Loved them both, regretting selling both too but of course they just used to be relatively plentiful old Fords...

Wow.....Calypso Green - as you say, very rare, even back in the day.

I have fond memories of a yellow RS2000 as an impressionable adolescent. However, it paled into insignificance compared to the Mirafiori Sport which replaced it. This was a P6 - shod hunk of Italian exotica compared to the little Ford, and whilst it rusted as quickly as it cornered, for me it was marvellous.

I had 4 of these.

1....bought early 1983 ,white with BVR ,OSR 1/4 full of plod due to crash.
2.....bought late 1984 ,signal yellow ,base model ,steel wheels, awful seats ,bought off 1st owner with
a full Ford s/h.
3.....bought late 1991 ,beige ,had twin side draught carbs ,stolen 6-8 weeks later.
4......bought 1997 or 8 ,red ,project ,scrapped it as rotten everywhere.

Yellow was easily the best car, especially after chucking the seats and replacing with early rolltop
seats.
I also painted the bit between the rear lights which would have been black on a Custom but body colour
on a base ,in three different shades of blue in an angled stripe way....looked awesome....cool
Just checked the status of a couple of mine

BDA 8T is on SORN presently ......and a different colour now!

The ex-unmarked car I had looks like it died in the late 80s
