Value is the issue.
It's a 4 door, it's an arthritic pre X-flow 1300, even if it were converted to harness more power, it would need the "Lotus-tuned" 1600E brakes and suspension and they may prove hard to find and it would not be "an original".
Ultimately, I think the restoration cost would far exceed the final value, interesting though it is but not even nostalgia (I'm 57) would make this something I would want to buy.
Its x flow not pre x flow.

If it were me I'd toss a coin, heads I restore it, tails it goes on the bay.
I wouldn't stop until the coin landed on tails!

First things first though.
You won't use the wing mirrors will you? Or need them. On the bay, 60s/70s wing mirrors? Probably 40 to 50 quid (once a bit of solvol autosol has done its work). You would be surprised what 'classic' nuts pay today. I'm a 'classic' nut too, but the skinflint kind - I will pay up to sensible, but no way over the odds and a lot out there is way over the odds.

I just got 40 notes for a Smith's rear screen heater (you know, if you're old enough, the stick-on type) - it was also missing its Smith's outside sticker to hide the contacts.
Crikey! Perhaps I didn't ask enough. eek

Mind you, better condition than mine was, and has the sticker.

And don't forget to look in the glovebox and under the seats (especially the latter!) - the stuff you can find is amazing! Usually worth money too, even if it's not money. biggrin
