Good shout on th Morgan SLR. Has been my dream car since I first discovered them a few years ago, saw one racing at Donnington and think they are just beautiful....
Sorry but the blue SLR in the racing photo (SAH137) is the Triumph SLR. Not many people know there was one.

No they didn't!

Intermeccanica are still a going concern: http://intermeccanica.com/ These days they are in Canada and produce Porsche 356 and VW Kubelwagen replicas. Erich Bitter was the distributor for the Indra in Germany.

Was Frank Sinitra a big fan of these or did I dream it?

Saw a random Youtube vid about barn finds and an AC Greyhound was mentioned.

I'd never heard of it, but like it.

AFAICR it's an Ace/Aceca chassis extended to make a 4-seater coupé.

This one has been chopped and fitted with a Rover v8:

In principle yes, but it had a more technical i.r.s. than the Ace's transverse leaf/wishbone and a coil-spring double wishbone i.f.s.

Spot on, it is nice to see an informed opinion on one of GB's better makes of car, unfortunately no more. I fully restored one of these in the 70's, and found it was a bigger task than I had anticipated, but worth it when finished.

That is the bastardised Bill Last Trident, an abortion on a A-H or TR6 chassis which it never fitted onto correctly. The original Trevor Fiore/Carrozzeria Fissore prototype for TVR on the other hand...

I would guess that AC were trying to give the Greyhound a better ride quality!
The Ace and Aceca have a very "vintage" feel and tend to bounce along rough roads.

The production Tridents I have seen look quite crude, but the TVR Trident prototypes are Trevor (Fiore) Frost's best designs.

Always loved The Trident as there was a red one parked at a garage not far from my Gran's house for many, many years, back in the late 70s/early 80s. The only one I've ever seen.

I do think they look quite good, no matter how bad they may be. 5.5 litre V8 too. WNTL?
