Had one of these in light blue back in the 70s:

I was too young to drive at the time... wink

I can't help wondering if the model was in the ad in the hope that people would not notice those rubber overider monstrosities on the front of it.

Yes, bad. Those ruined many an import's looks. Try and find a photo of a Countach with the overriders - absolute ruination hurl

This pic makes me laugh because many years ago I was a member of Fitness First and one fateful hot and sweaty weekend they ran some kind of sponsored car wash service which involved skimpily dressed and very fit gym ladies wearing nothing more than a bikini and washing members cars, which if memory is correct involved lots of water and suds everywhere. I distinctly remember driving out of the car park and pipping my horn, only to see a few sodden bikini clad ladies looking up, smiling and waving at me, those images are etched in my memory to this very day.

Absolutely amazing and probably never to be repeated again... smile

Well, probably not to be repeated in UK; they were doing exactly the same at a car show in S France last year. Not so hung up about PC etc. (and it's a bit warmer). Seemed quite popular, for some reason scratchchin
