I'm in the process of buying an M5, which is due an inspection service shortly (couple of months if I recall correctly). I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the cost is likely to be for this, and what things are covered.

The dealer initially offered to throw it in, but is now backtracking and wants to knock money off instead so I want to know exactly what's involved!

If it's an F10 this gives you an idea:

Yeah that's the one - my local dealership quoted the same when I rang them yesterday. The dealer I'm trying to buy this off tried to fob me off by telling me it was only telling you when the next MOT was due...

Not so keen to continue doing business with them now I have to say.

Just tell them you're off elsewhere and see how quickly a deal is offered again... rolleyes

And buy and take your own oil yes

My dealer suggested I did exactly that and it saved me £150 or so!
