Based on the number plate, that car spent its early life in Scotland. Never a good thing in terms of rust.

Surely depends on first owner and how they looked after it? smile

You'll be lucky to see 220bhp with that spec, although surely whoever remapped it did it on a dyno so there should be a power figure from that.
Granted 250 maybe optimistic. I'll have a look.. but it has an EVO engine which as standard should be putting out 210bhp so I would expect more than just an extra 10bhp from gas flowed head, bespoke exhaust and a remapped ECU.. it does feel very strong.

If it still has it's 3" exhaust it'll have 250bhp no problem.

Who mapped it? Who ported the head? You should have a power figure if it's been remapped. Also, why would you go to the trouble of remapping a car and not increase the boost pressure to make a bit more power? It doesn't make sense.
The 16v engine made more or less the same power throughout, there were no differences from Evo 1 to non Evo which would let it make anymore power. Lancia had to show on paper it made slightly more for every new model which came out, but it was just a marketing ploy.
They claimed the Evo 2 made 215 using a smaller turbo, yet when the same engine found its way into the Fiat Coupe it had mysteriously dropped to 195.
There is also age of engine to take into consideration, the only way to prove it is get it on an honest dyno.

Don't get me wrong, it's good to see people enthusiastic about these cars and you've got your work cut out trying to find something new about a 27yr old car, but I think I would get on with enjoying it rather than bigging it up to be something it isn't with 'Evo' this that and the other.

  • Not that i'm jaded or anything from years of wading around in rust and broken engines wink

Not everyone knows every aspect of the integrale nor Fiat/Lancia's fibs about power output. He's telling us about his car as this is a car enthusiasts forum, so can only go on info he's been told. I think the evo had a better exhaust, so this would be where the extra 10bhp came from.

It did have a 3" exhaust fitted by then RT and I've seen power readouts that give around 250bhp just with this and a mild remap.
This is one of 3 cars I know of that have had evo suspension fitted. The others being Alan's (RIP) highly modded 8v and Simon's 16v. So it does have evo bits.

I don't know about the engine, but think it needed the head doing while Gavin had it.

Hey, the engine was replaced with a brand new 'crate' Evo engine by Gavin when he had the car. Hence me mentioning the EVO provenance. Indeed I expect there should have been a dyno readout from the remap but so far i've not found it. Mind you there is loads of paperwork and i've not had time to go through the whole lot.

Still seems to be running well and taking it to Snowdonia this weekend for the first proper thrash! I'll get some video of the driving and will post it up some time next week!

I'm thinking of trying to put together a "boxed arch weekend" in Wales later this year, for Intergrale, Quattro UR, E30 M3 etc. It would be great to see a selection of these cars blasting across Black Mountain.

Mine went wrong on the way to the workshop (John Whalley, Bishops Stortford: now gone).

To be fair he sorted out the electrical gremlins and it ran beautifully, but I got too precious / worried about it and sold it on. I paid 5800 and sold it for 7000, which all but covered the cost of that work.
That looked stunning fair play Lotuscool

jackpe, good luck with the Integrale, they are great cars, definitely worth the effort, will be keeping a keen eye on this thread.
Wish I still had mine, sold it way too early back in 05'cry

Guys, so i took it to the Evo Triangle last weekend. It was pretty epic although initially I was slightly underwhelmed. The roads are mega and the scenery also fantastic. I had to go out super early though as the weekend is quite trafficked.
A video of the road and drive here: Evo Triangle Drive in Lancia Integrale

Sorry - wasn't paying attention. :boxed in:

I'll keep you posted but it'll be a few months yet. Usually go with a group of BMW 2002 owners, so will most likely extend the invitation. Also thinking of simply making it a pre 1990 affair? My own M3 should only be a few more weeks so long as Magnecor don't drag their heels making my HT leads!

Well we're organising a weekend in Wales over July 1st & 2nd if you can make it?

Saturday is a few hours on track at Landow followed by a few beers and dinner somewhere I think?

Sunday is about taking some of the roads around Brecon and enjoying the cars.

There should be a good selection of cars and plenty of 60's, 70's & 80's BMW. Anyway, would be good to see you there. (includes any of you guys who keep a watch on this thread).
