Parked next to mine at the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth, the day before Goodwood's 81st Members' Meeting.
Both displaying GRRC badges.
Didn't meet the people, nor travel together - just co-incidence.

I note another cheeky XK sneaking in at the back.
Mine is the blue one, though that might not help too much.

That's another photo for the "Classics dwarfed by moderns" thread!

Roof is fine by me … the w/w not so much - same as you. Bit of a wide price guide on this one suggests they’re not quite so sure what price it’ll make …

It should have fuel injection. But bits to fix that are bound to be tricky now.

The vinyl roof is correct, the wire wheels and Motalita are offences liable to prosecution.

Double Six at ACA in Kings Lynn at the end of June … £12-14k is their estimate.

I have to confess I didn’t notice the four SU carbs! Wonder what it would be like with a quad Weber set up..
I actually like the Motolita wheel-never much liked the S2 steering wheel

The wire wheels wouldn't be my choice either, but all of the XJ mockups and early prototypes were fitted with them, as were all of William Heynes's personal XJs. Motolita wheel? Leather would look better to me, as not too keen on the std. wheel.

A few early, c20, V12 coupés (not this one) were fitted with carbs, although I suspect they would have been Strombergs as on the saloons.

Doubt they would have had bolt on wires though.
