Thing is, you look at its MoT history down the years and it's pretty damn good!

Lovely Jag MkII
Superb value that nat £21,000. Will probably be at a dealers shortly at £29,9945. I keep saying to people "buy a 3.4" but they think the 3.8 is posher and a better car. Little do they really know!

I think so. I remember the guy on FB saying he’s bought it over there recently … how it got there in the first place though, I have no idea …

Looks pretty crusty underneath. Also Solex carbs so can't touch the ton and would be a sluggish drive. Looking at it a spares car only unless you replace the sills and floors yourself. And that might not be all either.

Just watched a rerun in the garage of the ‘76 XJ-6 4.2 car that Wheeler Dealers did - been in a garage since 1990 covered in blankets - looked lovely - owner had soaked the bores with penetrating oil every so often. Needed recommissioning obviously and they put two new fuel tanks on it, plus new exhaust and tyres, refurbed calipers and new discs at the back. Paid £5k for it - sold it for £8k! Bargain of the year surely …

Also concerned about skates under rear wheels, seized brakes or worse?

Probably a trip to the scrappy was called for after a front end accident.
