Driver didnt look old and crusty either !
Us "Young'uns" are getting more in to classics now I think because of the ridiculously low insurance premiums, and relatively low road tax on bigger engines. I'm insuring 3 sports/classics for less than a newish fiesta :-)(ETA: that's the cost of INSURING a newish fiesta, not the price of one!!)

Spotted locally, yesterday.
It's a regular visitor to a house nearby, and a lovely looking thing. (I'm biased, my dad used to have one when I was about 5 years old)
There's also a bit of a Lotus badge going on on the grille. Did they 'Lotus-ifi' any estate versions back then? No matter, it's just nice to see one in such a well kept original condition.
Also spotted (but no pictures) over the last couple of days... A Triumph 2000 in Yately, and a four-door MkII Escort outside Kwik-Fit in Fleet.

No pic unfortunately as I was driving but this morning on the M1 I saw one of the seven (or is it eight..?) 70s Aston Martin Lagondas heading north near the Newport Pagnell turn off. It was belting along in the outside lane and looked fabulous amongst all the modern stuff!
Which colour please? (and plate if seen)Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
