Saw a Citroen DS Estate last night , Maroon on a B plate heading East on the M4 .

Have not seen one for years .
Pretty certain I've seen the same car in and around Amersham.

I see that a lot around Bradford/Halifax.
Sounds very "fruity".

The photo didn't do it justice. IMHO any form of Red looks ste on a car, but the colour, deepness and shine on this MG was out of this world. It looked stunning. Even if it did have wire wheelslaugh

Hot off the press, sitting across the road from work this lunchtime, looking pretty in the sunshine - sincere apologies for the appalling phone photo.

A few from London over the weekend just gone.

I had one of those for about six years, a Bentley MKVI, I wish I had never parted with it, lovely, lovely cars, and they go very well, can keep up with and leave behind a fair few moderns. That's one of the later models with the big bore 4.5 litre engine.

My dream Bentley is a standard steel MKVI, just like that, but with a 4.9 S1 engine, triple carbs, and a high ratio R type Continental back axle.
One owner told me he bought his for peanuts as they were popular student cars back in the 70s. He restored his and it runs like a dream - daily BTW.

I've enjoyed watching this thread grow, never thought we'd see 10,000 posts. Some fabulous vehicles have been shared. I'm glad I started it all those years ago... smile

Keep spotting!
Good to hear from you OP!

Something I was wondering about though:

Whilst I appreciate that this is not your own personal thread to Police as you see fit, and that different people have different opinions on what is a cool classic car, do you personally feel that clearly neglected, clapped out old Peugeot 205's, 2CV's, Nissan Micra's and such like are really what you wanted to see in this thread?

The reason for asking is that when you started this thread all those years ago, you must have had some sort of idea as to the sort of cars you wanted it to be about, and some of the cars that get posted here seem to be put in purely because they are old rather than having any resemblance of being cool.

Had it been a simple: OLD/CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!!, then it wouldn't matter at all, but you did indicate that you wanted to see "cool classic cars" and I was wondering what your opinion was.
It seems so long ago that this started! To be honest, I started it because back then, I couldn't even drive yet, so getting to look at pictures of old cars was how I fed my obsession… In my head, I envisaged pretty much anything interesting. Different people find different cars interesting. There is a very fine line; I don't find the Saab on the last page that interesting, but would love to see a 900 Turbo. But the point is, if someone else thinks it is interesting or rare, it has a place here, and nobody can really question it, because only those who aren't 'cool' ever question cool wink .

I'd rather see Stags and Stangs that 205's and a K reg Micra, but it doesn't really take that long to scroll past a post full of rusty dross. It just makes me more eager to get to a post that may have a Citroen SM or a Merc Pagoda on it.

I can almost give you a 230SL 'Pagoda', except it doesn't have the Pagoda part. It was seen today near Bromley.

Yesterday in Hastings (I'm not taking the piss, I really passed through there) I saw a B plate maestro in blue in the same spec as the one I owned in 1990.
I also saw a very brave/ stupid person on the M25 in the sideways rain in an 80s mini

I'm sure I recognise the reg on this car - is it well known, or belongs to Fiat, or something like that?
