COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!!
Discussion
Been on the London to Brighton today, so got a few photos, crappy quality. Will Try to upload some.
The really old cars are not really my thing, but was asked to help out, and as a petrol head figured I should experience it.
Better still I spent the majority of the run on one of the cars, which was an unexpected bonus, I had expected to stay on the support vehicle.
It was a brilliant day. Started at 3am, finished at 9pm, but was one of my best car days ever. The Cars, the atmosphere, the route, the spectators all cheering these 100 year old machines!
I highly recommend it, even if, like me, its not your bag. I am feeling worn out from pushing the thing up slight inclines, but the sense of achievement in crossing the line, still under our own steam (well petrol) is immense.
Recommended!

Though some cars were of course quite literally crossing under their own steam! I agree it was a good day although I wasn't on any team - I was over that way today so pottered around Crawley a bit having a look at some of the old 'uns. The route goes right past the end of my girlfriend's parents' road so would be rude not to have a look. Which car were you on?Also spotted a funny little coupé on the M25 on the way home that I couldn't identify initially, but eventually recognised it as an Opel GT. Nice little car actually, hadn't ever seen one before.
saw 3 nice classics out today, dark blue Triumph Vitesse estate on Kimbolton road Bedford, lovely looking blue/white Humber Sceptre passing Cedar house in St Neots and saw this, which i think might be another Hillman Minx queing for petrol at Tesco's in St Neots this evening,

saw a beautiful Old English white E Type convertible on the A428 near Wyboston Lakes early this afternoon
Think I know that one - It's always fun when we all get our E-Types going first thing on a cold morning.Sunday - Lagondas, jags, Trojan, triumphs, MGs all sort of vintage flora and fauna our way including the bikes
