OK, so a bit of constructive argument about what constitutes a classic then, although I know that is a massive can of worms here I wonder whether the boggo 205 could be argued in the same way as my boggo '72 Alfa 1300 GT Junior? It was the bottom of the range edition in its day against the 1750 and 2000GTV. However now I would say (somewhat biased!) that it is a firm classic? I don't know a great deal about the 205 but this would just be based on the same chassis and classic shape as the 1.6 & 1.9 GTi so there must be a degree of heritage and therefore potential classic status in another 20 years, albeit at a much lower level than its already famous siblings?

Stopped to take a couple of photos this time; owner was in the bar next to it, friendly chap, car is a proper Cobra Daytona, No.8 in fact.

utterly cool car but a) bad parking thread and b) that rear overhand means it's going to get clouted by a bus turning that corner!

SWH said: What is it? HPI says a Superperformance but I've never heard of it. Too much modern stuff on it - high level brake, glass, mirrors etc. Guess thats the IVA for you. The Daewoo family look happy on their picnic.

[cough]therewereonlysix [cough] That sirs, is the first incarnation of the Superperformance Daytona Coupe, penned by the same Peter Brock that did the (now unfeasibly valuable) originals. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2286636.htmThey've done a mk2 version, but there's something a bit wrong with it to my eye. This mk1, however, is a peach - I remember it being for sale last year, unusally finished in BRG (or is that my eyes?) and one of only 9 RHD versions. Spot of the year for me chap, well done.

Cheers, yes, stunning thing. Nearly drove off the road when I spotted it in the same place a few weeks back... managed to actually stop, say hello, and take a photo this time.
I was still in commuter mode however, and on reflection, should have stayed a bit longer, grabbed a drink and asked a bit more about it!
