na said: nice to see, what look like at least, proper size wheels too Too true. I appreciate that back when I was young we used to struggle to get Cooper 's' brakes economically enough to run Tens, but now they are much easier to get hold of and Minis belong on Tens.

1966 reg so it's a replica. Still nice. According to the DVLA: The vehicle details for JTR 131D are: Date of Liability: 01 08 2012 Date of First Registration: 25 11 1966Year of Manufacture: 1966Cylinder Capacity (cc): 3800cc CO2 Emissions: Not Available Fuel Type: PETROL Export Marker: N Vehicle Status: Licence Due to Expire Vehicle Colour BLUE Vehicle Type Approval Not Available So is there an E-type sat underneath the bodywork?

Hi all, Another Shelsley walsh hill climb spot, this was in the main car park, most other cars had left. It seems to be a Morgan, never seen this model before though.

One of 26 +4+ models made between 1964 and 1967. Fibreglass bodywork and very rare. Great looking in my opinion,

More likely to be a shortened wheel base XJ6? I don't recall a 3.8 XJ but could be wrong? A lot of the older replica's are built on XJ's I believe.

If it hadn't got that '7ft giant accomodating roofline' I'd have liked that, I wonder if it has the traditional Morgan 'Ash' timber frame chassis or if it's monocoque? Certainly a rare and interesting one.

These replicas have their own bespoke chassis normally, and don't need the donor car for much more than the engine and maybe some suspension parts. Surely the original XJ6 was 3.8 powered? The 4.2 and V12 came later.

[quote]No ash frame according to wikipedia
"The frame was Z section steel rails with structural plywood floor, extended by steel tubes in front."
