Typical of most old classics.

And.....I guess they made too many of them so price is always a result of supply and demand.
I think 2)Thirst and 3)Rust are the only two points of those given that can be applied as typical of most (all) old cars called classics

of course also agree that on all of them the price is down to supply and demand
They're not actually that big by todays standards and the cost or repair is no greater than that of many others I can think of.

God awful fuel consumption makes using it often a major problem

The suspension can be an issue but touch wood I've never had a problem and I've owned a few.

I think they look great now against modern stuff but the smell of old leather and damp carpet can get right into your cloths and you spend the rest of your day smelling like an incontinent geriatric.

er, my point was with regard to classic generally rather than the RR which like most cars seem large to me with my car

After that combo of type 57 and gt40 I am almost embarrassed to post this spot but I havent seen one on the road for more than 10 years.

A "h" plate mini clubman estate in red complete with the plastic wood on the sides running on what looked like 10 inch rostyles heading down the mad mile from the m1 towards Ossett. It was bloody tiny, the roof of the mini was barely higher than the bonnet of the x5 behind him.
This one?
Yes thats the one thumbup

I have posted this in the Yorkshire spotted thread too, not 100% sure it belongs in here but I saw a very tidy looking subaru SVX parked up near the Cummins place in Huddersfield.

There was a whole load of very shiny Morris Minors in Marlborough this morning, I assume there must be a meet on this weekend somewhere nearby.

My car has just had a 10 year rebuild and missing this event tomorrow is not an option smile

If the weather's nice they reckon they may around 1000 minors and 400 other Morris and BMC vehicles.

Horch P240 isn't it?
Essentially yes, good effort! This one was badged as a Sachsenring P240. Hadn't heard of either, with its Eastern Block looks I initially thought Tatra or Moskvitch.
after a bit of research of my own I'm surprised to note that there was a 4 door convertible version!!

Yes I think I saw that too (that spot is actually just over a year old), many cool cars that you just don't hear/read about.. although James might reply and say CaSC did an 8 page feature on said cars! Don't do magazines much these days.

The convertible 355 was taking two uncool parking spaces so I opted for this instead:

An Oak Green 16V would have been cooler still, but hey.

Hillman Avengers are rare.... But when was the last time you saw a Hillman Avenger Estate? Clocked one today, P Reg, in Dorset

Surely you photographed the other car (Ferrari?) as well?

Owning both is cool even if the Victor itself isn't. The colour scheme is too loud to be cool.

The hat over the nearside mirror detracts too.
Uncool? Tidy that up and you've got a prime example of the customising trends of the 1970s and they were very definitely cool. I'm telling you, the '70s are making a comeback.

I saw that Bentley (there could, surely, only be one) a few years ago in an advert for a car coper somewhere in America. When I suggested he should mask the picture he said 'somebody will love it enough to buy it'.
