Sorting through some old papers, found these from 1984.
A visit to Oulton Park with my father in his Audi 80 Quattro (A333 WNP), it was delivered new around Nov 1983. He had great fun with it as it was such a Q car, steel wheels, subtle twin tailpipes, apart from the large sticker on the back and a small badge on the grill it looked like a poverty spec 80.
Can't remember how long he kept it, though I recall Audi had it more than he did resolving issues. It was finally replaced by a Merc S class.
And yes, the clothing & hair was the height of fashion then... honest...

These were 1983 to 1987
Ah the Ford Granada 2.8 GLS in Oyster Gold and with it's unique Michelin TRX clad alloys. Those on the Ghia looked the same but were smaller. Exactly like mine except I had the "Tobacco" vynil rood and "Chocolate" upholstery. It was one of the best cars I ever owned being quick, quiet, very comfortable and that Golde sunroof was totally silent when cruising at 95/100 mph (which it did rather a lot!). Mine was VTC900T and survived until October 1995 although by then with a 2.3l engine. I last saw it around 1990 parked but still in use although missing both interior door panels and most of the dashboard panel. A good GLS would still be a nice car even now.Watergate Bay, Cornwall, September 1979 with my parents making you think it was a hot day..but it wasn't! I would say that neither looked as care worn in reality..it was just a long afternoon!

Mum had a 1978 2.8 GL in silver, which took us from Lancashire to StTropez in 1980. Fast, comfortable, reliable and a damn good looking car.
Miles better than the jellymold Granada Scorpio that replaced it.
George Cowley always had great taste in cars.
