p.s. Where was it taken? It looks remarkably like a sailing club near me in Maidenhead but then I guess most sailing clubs look similar

I'm sure that I've seen more images of that Frogeye somewhere else before. Perhaps a rear end shot by the waterside and boats?

The photos were taken in 1969 or 1970 at a Lake near Felbridge, East Grinstead, Sussex.
About a year ago, I realised I had never checked to see if it was still registered - and it was, although it is now white.
So I fired off an email to the Austin Healey Owners Club and received a reply that the car belonged to one of their members in Norfolk and that my details would be forwarded to them.
But I have never heard from them. I don't know about you, but if a previous owner of my car made contact with me, I would be so interested that I would be in touch immediately.
So if anyone sees a white Frogeye registration number TWS 423 - tell the owner to contact me, I have several more pictures and of course four years of great memories that I would be delighted to share with them.

I agree about being contacted regarding a car I used to own or the previous owner of my frogeye, but people are strange. A friend of mine now ownes a Frogeye which won an international AH Club concourse event in the early eighties. The car had been lovingly restored to perfection by a chap but when my friend cantacted him to let him know that the car was in good hands and being well looked after, he said that he got the impression that the previous owner couldn't have cared less.
Must say this is a great thread - these old pics evoke lots of memories of previous decades ...
Raided an old shoebox for some pics from down the years - all in date order ...
First one is my dad repairing his blue Anglia - reg no. TJG 469 - in 1960 with my sister scratching the paintwork
Me perched on my uncle's Raleigh Runabout - circa 1965 ...
Two mates from college by one of them's 1958 Ford Zodiac in Swindon (we were going to a mate's wedding) old 'billies that my mates were in those days they had to have the car to fit the *look* - nice gold Hillman Hunter in the background.
Rebuilding my MBG in 1983 ... with my mate's 2200 Austin Princess Wedge in the background (reg YJO 99R)
The finished car in 1984 ...
VW Beetle I bought for £200 with a month's MOT in 1985 ...
White Triumph Stag SOL 519M outside my first house in 1986 ...
Embarassing white tennis shorts and boufant hairdo ... 1987
At my mum and dad's house - 1987 - next to my dad's gold Vauxhall Cavalier - reg no. AUD 222V ... still on the road I believe - now white.
Bikes are allowed aren't they?
My 1985 Kawasaki GPZ600 looking good ... taken in about 1989 ...
Me cleaning my Peugeot 205GTi 1.9 - G222JUB - in 1989
