Me, about '78, with mums Shadow (15, and wearing leather pants, hot damn!) My first car, around 1981 (same hair, same jacket). 1st August 1984, getting ready for a busy day of handovers.

[/quote] I'm sure that I've seen more images of that Frogeye somewhere else before. Perhaps a rear end shot by the waterside and boats?

A photo that I took in January 1990. It's of my car - the Renault Alpine GTA and friends' Porsche and Lotus. We'd travelled over to France on the ferry with our wives for the weekend.

You could almost imagine it being used as a publicity shot by BMC. p.s. Where was it taken? It looks remarkably like a sailing club near me in Maidenhead but then I guess most sailing clubs look similar

It looks remarkably like a sailing club near me in Maidenhead but then I guess most sailing clubs look similar I have probably put this other pic on other forums - you have a good memory! The photos were taken in 1969 or 1970 at a Lake near Felbridge, East Grinstead, Sussex. About a year ago, I realised I had never checked to see if it was still registered - and it was, although it is now white. So I fired off an email to the Austin Healey Owners Club and received a reply that the car belonged to one of their members in Norfolk and that my details would be forwarded to them. But I have never heard from them. I don't know about you, but if a previous owner of my car made contact with me, I would be so interested that I would be in touch immediately. So if anyone sees a white Frogeye registration number TWS 423 - tell the owner to contact me, I have several more pictures and of course four years of great memories that I would be delighted to share with them.

I'd be interested if you'd share them with me. I agree about being contacted regarding a car I used to own or the previous owner of my frogeye, but people are strange. A friend of mine now ownes a Frogeye which won an international AH Club concourse event in the early eighties. The car had been lovingly restored to perfection by a chap but when my friend cantacted him to let him know that the car was in good hands and being well looked after, he said that he got the impression that the previous owner couldn't have cared less.

This is marshalling on the RAC Rally 68/69. My local motor club did Grizedale. I was trying a bit too hard in my newly acquired Cortina GT the day before.

Crosswise - excellent stuff, more required! Where was the second one taken? Looks vaguely familiar.
