If you search Google images for '1913 Cadillac' there are a lot of very similar looking cars.
Unfortunately, it's the same with a lot of marques - the same can be said for Googling 1913 Fiat. Most cars looked the same back then, just like today. Nothing changes.

The usual clue is the radiator, but in this case we can't see it very well. The best bet would be to research the Bishop's archives - maybe the local museum or historical society could help.

Any idea what this is please. Turn of century apparently, and this was the first car in Truro and belonged to the Bishop. Thanks in advance.

Just a wild guess ... Cadillac ???

I do believe you are absolutely correct. 1913 Cadillac. There are sufficient distinguishing features on these images that are identical.

Isn't that the first car with everything located in what is now considered conventional? H pattern gears with a centre floor shift, clutch, brake, accelerator from L-R, conventional hand brake, no bonkers pedals or levers.

If it's anything like riding old motorbikes, it's fine until you have to do anything quickly!

Not tried levers but driven a centre throttle and mirrored pattern gearbox. The car being valued at £750k certainly concentrated the mind! wobble

We've got bikes with every variation of hand change and foot change. I've ridden a bike with the owner following and stamped down planning to change up, only to remember (as I headbutt the tank) that the gearbox runs the other way hehe

Been there, done that!!!

More used to my old Norton clunker I borrowed a mates CBF the other day and whilst bimbling along went for a downchange, forgetting the pedals are on opposites sides and locked up the back wheel and nearly lost it!!!!

Rich, I assume you are referring to the club Ulster - that really does concentrate the mind !!!!!

That is nice, and as mentioned the best looking of the breed in my opinion too.
