The picture labelled aber Falls or similar is in fact the Old Port at Auray in the Morbihan in Southern Brittany.

That looks a lot like the eastern end of the Hardknott Pass, in the Lakes, just before 'Boot'.

Judging by the caravan picture, those Volvo 164 types are regular babe magnets. Who knew?

Cheers for the location updates - that's the trouble with stuff like this that came from a house clearance, no background information.

Be funny if one of the ladies appears on here to say "Hey that's me when I was 18!" biggrin

Dad appears to have the clip on yellow headlight lenses with the built in beam converters on the Volvo Babe Magnet. My old man favoured the bottle of clear yellow paint and black masking tape approach - the one which would leave your headlight lenses a dirty shade of very pale yellow even after weeks of scrubbing when back in Blighty.

I was in France this summer with my family and the thing I reminisced about most when travelling there as a boy was the yellow headlights and silver on black number plates of the local cars - damn you, EU!!

I think I have posted these before, but they are good for a laugh, so here they are again.

My late Dad's Éclat.

The year is 1977.

That's me on the right in the final pic.

I love "just another day" pics like this, they are IMHO what the thread is all about. And not a pane of fecking double glazing in sight

Good times for sure. Taking a stone hot-water bottle to bed, wearing a jumper over your pyjamas, ice forming on the inside of our bedroom windows in the middle of winter. Chilblains, ah sweet memories.

TB's making a comeback, I hear.
