I worked for them in 1989 as a young whippersnapper, at the old central works next door to Darlington's Feethams ground, it's Sainsbury's now I believe

Number 1 is Harrogate, taken from about 2/3 of the way down Montpellier Hill.The bigger building is the old Harrogate Advertiser office, before it closed down and became a Slug & Lettuce. There's also the Montpellier pub, home for many years to the world famous 'Gyrating Geoff'.
There's a surprising lack of cars in that photo, it will be full of white Range Rovers today.
