Don't know if a Cortina Mark II and a Skoda are classed as classics but here's one of my dad's car taken around 1973. For some reason my mum must have taken a snap of my brother and me walking the dog. Amusingly it was only when I blew it up on my PC that I noticed the kid next door on his bicycle getting in on the act. Was this one of the first examples of photo-bombing!

You know you've got BV's Daimler on your PBucket pictured with the white Webasto?
I clicked on the Jag/Escort pic to read the Escort's plate better ...

Is that South East London? Looks like Catford.Great 70's pics guys, like the medallion.
Last night down our local we were discussing this winter. Us old codgers were saying how mild it had been. There was a young lad, around 19, saying how flipping cold he was this winter. Well you can imagine us old guys saying. Cold son....you don't know the meaning of the word. This got me remembering the winter of '63. The coldest since '47 and one the coldest on record. I was 13 and just started my weekend job, helping the milkman. Boy was it cold. I remember sitting in the open sided milk float moaning how cold it was. Albert the milkman said. "Come on lad, get running up and down these paths, that'll soon get you toasty." Milk left on the doorstep for longer than half an hour looked like this:
Here are some pics from around the country in 'Winter of '63:
Alcester Road, Birmingham:
Winbledon:
Glasgow:
Cold Ashton Petrol Station on the A46 (appropriate name eh?)
Now this is what you call deep snow:
Bradford:
And Dorset [or is this 1968?]

I like the Volvo 145 parked next to the Jensen. Can't see any other foreign metal.
Might be a BMW 2002 parked in the middle of the upper deck, reversed in. Might be a Merc reverserd in a the end of the upper deck.
Volvos had lots of UK parts then.
Loving those snow pictures, and remembered about the frozen milk.
