Thanks John.

Dad was a pretty good driver in his day (now 76 years young) and I hope to compete at Prescott soon which would be fun -especially if he can spectate.

That's a very late one with the indicators in the bumper. Your mate's dad has blown the budget with the pop up glass sunroof, passenger door mirror and period VW alloys - no doubt trying to impress his lovely legged missus!

I had a 1303 the same colour and also took it to the south of France - RTT 485N if my memory is correct.

Ha ha thanks guys!

Pete passed away last week, but his family has found some great old pics of him.
He is on the left here on his BSA Gold Star, and his brother is on the right riding his Vincent. This pic was taken sometime in the 1950's in Norbury, South London

Lovely memory of your friend there. I can't help thinking, looking at it seems the kind of area I grew up in, that in those days we earned £4 a week if we were lucky and the bike was on HP. Yet a week or so back a Vinnie sold for £275,000. But we enjoyed riches beyond money then.

Fabulous colour wintertime street shot from wartime USA. That Roy Rogers film was released in the USA in early Nov 1944, so that ties the photo as probably taken around Nov/Dec 1944.

Another one from my mother's photos.

Not sure who is is/was (but he's not my father!) however he did own a nice Riley!

A Riley Lynx 9 would be my guess.
