Well, the Humber has a Huddersfield registration and one of the hotels says 'The Cliff' so I'm narrowing it down to a coastal town in the north of the UK.With it being black and white we can't tell the colour of the stone but wonders if it may even be Scotland.

very nice, superior morris model as well!
would be great to see the other photos of it
Noo, the Austin was much nicer with the winged front badge and the stylised boot script. B reg could even be a Hydrolastic one as well. My Old Man had an Island blue/white Cooper 998 on a D plate back in 1970. Long gone now, like this one.would be great to see the other photos of it
Is this E-Type familiar to anyone with a long memory? I imagine these shots were taken in Preston.
1971-75 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 MDL21 c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
Or maybe someone will know the registration from the car it's on now, a 2005 Maserati Quattroporte according to Cartell and DVLA.

Me too, it epitomizes that period perfectly and the simple pleasures of motoring freedom denied the current youth by over zealous insurance premiums. I paid £200 at 19 y.o. for the insurance on my 2 litre Mk2 Capri Ghia in the mid 80s. The only reason I didn't get a 3 litre S was I thought £300 per annum was unreasonable!
Wow! My Fiat Uno 55S (yes 55hp!) was £600 to insure at 17 in 1988, that was expensiveStill scanning in the batch I purchased:
1977 Jaguar XJ-S V12 DCK960S c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
1978/79 Mercedes 350 SE NBV796T c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
Both of the above appear to be at the same place.
1973 Mercedes 250 Auto GFA144L c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
This one lasted longer than most of those I've been able to trace, DVLA saying it was last taxed in 1997.
1979 Citroen GS Club 1220 BTB42T c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
By contrast, this one only made it to 1986. Does anyone recognise the location? Probably in/around Preston, and I think some sort of civic/further education building.

Interesting to think this neat but fairly unassuming model is the forerunner to today's A4.
