Hi there, I've been on PH for a while but this is my first post.
I'm trying to find out any information about this car that was owned by my Grandfather. I know its a Bentley but that's about all...
This is indeed by Rippon, but it is their first of three #B12BN 3 1/2 litre Swept tail Saloon by Rippon repainted at some point after appearing on the 1934 Motor Show, when it was described as finished in Grey with light blue mouldings, delivered in Dec 34 with Reg VH7209 to Col. Frederick Austen Neill of James Neill & Co Ltd. in Sheffield. Its wherabouts are currently unknown. I'm trying to find out any information about this car that was owned by my Grandfather. It appears to be a Bentley 3½ Litre Rippon Brothers Aero Sports Saloon.
It is almost identical (except colour) to this car with a similar registration number:
Rippon Brothers of Huddersfield only made two of these Aero Sports Saloons, the grey (1935 Olympia Motor Show) car being the only survivor. It would appear that your Grandfather's car was it's twin.
This similar car isn't the 1935 Show car but #B103CW 1935 3 1/2 litre swepttail saloon for Terence Byron, after being used by Reginald Rippon in the 1935 RAC rally, the third car, registration VH7549. It survives in beautiful order. It is almost identical (except colour) to this car with a similar registration number:

I recently made a drunk(ish) eBay purchase of a Jeep Cherokee which spent its life in Italy.
The supplying dealer in Italy had this picture of it from 1990, the 2 guys on the left are the business owners, the guy stood on the sill is the new owner and the guy on the right is an Italian actor & comedian named Massimo Boldi

Railway Terrace, alongside Rugby Midland station, August Bank Holiday 1958... Austin A50...?
Rugby station carriage sidings, July 1972...
Saltley Depot, Birmingham, May 1980, looks like a 'P' or 'R' reg... MkIV...?
This one might be stretching the envelope somewhat but I thought it worth a punt as it's a rare spot - a screen grab from an old lesbo flick called 'The Killing Of Sister George', released in 1969 which had a blink and you'll miss it appearance of a Stewart & Arden Minisprint, I posted this on one of the Mini forums and within a day or so the owner popped up saying the car survives and is being restored...

Out of curiosity I checked to see if there was any mot or tax history on it.According to DVLA it was manufactured in 1966 but first registered in 2005.
So that will have been when someone "found it" and sent off the old log book....
