I looked at that first pic, and thought 'that's Glasgow' without recognising anything specific in it, it's Cumbernauld Rd

my cousins lived in Stepps so we probably went by that bit quiet a lot in the early 70s when I lived in Sighthill, Springburn as a kid

Got to love the Leyland National in the 2nd pic, a rare sight these days

Mk2, by the look of the grille on the front.

It certainly is, apparently the dual carriageway through the village of Stepps was the busiest road in Scotland for a time, before the bypass was constructed. Hard to believe now, it's a nice quiet place.

Yeah. But with the old roof hump thats more common on the 1. Most 2s had the heater inside. They always were a bit mix-n-match, sorta modular construction.

And here's another from a bit further down the road at Millerston, 50's. Look how quiet the road is, what a dream.

Nice Fuchs on it too!

I would put the photo at 1985 or maybe bit later from looking at the Micra and Metro.

That's 1970s. A bit poignant, Woolies next to BHS!

Remember road works in times gone by. Those wooden barriers wouldn't stop anything:

And the B-prefix registration on that MCW bus in the foreground.

I came across this shot of what looks like De Gaulle and his Citroen DS standing in a convoy. Unfortunatley I forgot to note the location. He had several DS with full length sunrroofs over the years .
Some info from Google:

Le 18 mai 1962, le Général de Gaulle, Président de la République, est reçu Place Bonnyaud par les autorités locales.

And lastly Whitmore Reams Birmingham 1960's:
Great pictures, just one point. Whitmore Reans is in Wolverhampton, I had a girlfriend at Wolves Poly in the 1980s who lived on Clifford St; the same view today on Google Street View(minus a couple of buildings).

That is a Wolverhampton trolleybus, too.
