Hi Dinks,
I've still not managed to getting around to sorting my Silverstone pictures. I took well over a 1000 shots but most have just ended up on the cutting room floor.

I have however finally got around to sorting our your D-type picture. Thanks :-)
For my birthday we got it blown up to 20"x16" and got a nice frame for it. Now I just need to move the picture hook so it looks better on my wall.

Pity I could join you at Spa, looks to have been a great weekend.
Cheers

How many Ford GT40 Roadster's were made? I'm aware of two 427 Roadsters.

See you next year Ken: it's a must come!

I'd love to see a picture of my D-type picture on your wall wink

It's such a compliment.

Discussing summers holiday 2010 in S.UK at the moment, should be good.

That's about the same time a 2.0 litre Porsche 911 can do. Impressive... But those porkers do have to be heavy! More than 1000 kilos... Ridiculous!

Seems Phil is not the only one doing La Source with one hand wink

Dink, we drove down on Thursday, and got snaggled in Brussels rush-hour traffic, plus the old girl was boiling becuse the fan switch melted itself !

The upshot was that our planned re-fuelling stop was a service station down a slip road that was blocked with traffic, so we took the risk of driving on......we were 1km from the next service stop, when she coughed and died ! Jonathan had to push, tho by some miracle it was gently down hill all the way.

I think, because we had run dry, a bit of ste got into an intermediate jet in the Holley....but why oh why did it not get there till we pulled out to do qualifying !! We had a great race, starting from the back of the grid always makes you feel like a hero, and the whole week-end was terrific. Spa is the best racing week-end of the year, just get yer parish council sorted in time next year please !!

Luvly pics as usual, thanks for taking the trouble to post them mate, all the best, T.

I think that's one of the loveliest cars of the entire weekend. My uncle once had a 1950s Alta that looked similar, well from the memory of a 6 year boy old it did anyway. Just a superb car.
Edited, I think the Alta was a something like a 1948 car
