We have had this one delivered for engine rebuild. It has only 12000 original miles on it and was in a museum for a long while in the US. Blown both head gaskets due to chauffeur not realising the noise of a siezed water pump !

My mum owned the 3rd J72 built and is in the pic below with the wolfrace wheels, the old man used to supply all of Bob Jankels engines.

There was a little feature about Oliver Reed's Deville in Classic & Sportscar a few months back. Sorry, can't remember which month it was though. smile
Billy Connolly was a DeVille owner, back in the late 70's, I remember him ariving at the Kings Theater, Glasgow in a grey and burgandy one.

Just out of interest how much are you looking at for an engine rebuild on a DeVille?

Now that someone's mentioned the Austin/Morris doors, if you look at the cabin of the green one you can see an Austin A45 smile

It is a standard Jaguar engine.

So anyone who rebuilds Jag engines can do it for you.

The doors are from a Mini.
The doors came from the Austin/Morris 1800 (Maxi, 3 litre also used them). Front doors modified to quarter lights (or did the 3 litre have this as standard?) rears to suit the wheelbase.
The 3-Litre did have them as standard, I remember them from the one my Dad had (and I googled just to check!)

She is now finished and back on the road. She had to have full rebuild after the driver managed to get it that hot he melted the internals of the distributor!
