Grea stuff.

Did you build that yourself ?

Very 70s custom.Nowadays someone would post that intothe badly modified thread.

I wouldn't,it's of it's day.

Thanks. Yes, I built it myself and yes, it was of it's time.

It had a 3.9 Rover V8 auto mated to a 3.0 Capri axle which was modified to take coil springs.
Rover V8 radiator fitted after a bit of cutting.
The suspension was V6 Cortina springs and adjustable shocks.
Remote brake servo courtesy of a Rover 2000.
Fuel pump was a twin Jag V12 item.
It also had electric windows.

It was in many shows around the North and I also drag raced it here and there. It also appears in the film 'Cruisin' which was the support film for the movie 'Car Wash' in 1976.

It's greatest claim to fame was that after I PX'ed it for a 73 Z28 in 1980, it was stolen and used as a getaway car in a gold bullion robbery. It ended up in the Police compound for quite a while awaiting the trial of the culprits before being sold.
Unfortunately it was torched and written off some time after.

To be honest, it is one car that I wish I still had as I owned and modified it for about 5 years. Lots of hard graft and many hours in all kinds of weather. Happy days indeed!

Les.
