You mean like this?  383 roller camshaft Edelbrock head Chevy in a Gordon-Keeble. Also with Muncie M21 and Harvey Bailey suspension.

Here's mine  Singer Chamois, 998cc engine, twin Weber 40DCOEs on a combined manifold with an across the back silencer, approx 4" extra ground clearance from longer springs with spacers, 13"x4" wheels (std is 12x4.5) from an Austin A35 (I think), radiator at the front etc. Note the spare wheels carried on the engine lid to move the weight distribution backwards. Used for classic trialling (see my profile pic as well) when it works.

They are cheap (ish) to rebuild and are fairly bullet proof. The 496 Stroker has been built as a torque monster with not too wild a Cam for mooching around in London traffic if neccesary.
